Question:

My daughter is 7. I know physically ear surgery would be an excellent option for her, but how do I know if she's psychologically and emotionally ready for the surgery and the change?

Answer:

At this age it is something she will take her cue from you. If you present it as a positive event she will do great. If you wait until she is a teenager then you will need to have her be the originator in seeking the change.
