Question:

I am very interested in getting a neck lift. I am a 38 year old female and the "turkey gobbler" seems to be very hereditary in my family regardless of weight. I am not over weight (very lean, actually) but mine is already starting to make its appearance. When I have this procedure done, will I have to have it again in later years?

Answer:

This is often very rewarding to do in younger patients who have familial tendency for this. Usually face and neck lift surgery is done to turn back the clock. It doesn't stop it though. In your case at age 38 you are not turning back the clock to much so while you won't get the same turkey gobbler it's likely you'll need something again at age 58 or 60.
