In today’s high tech world, peer pressure among kids and teens is ever present, and more intense than ever before, especially with the fear of cyber bullying. While Dr. Schwartz generally discourages teens and parents from having face altering surgery in response to such pressures, otoplasty remains one procedure that is still generally accepted and recommended by the medical community for young children prior to entering school. This simple procedure to avoid embarrassment at a young age remains a mainstay for parents and children.
