I’ve heard that new facelift techniques address the muscles of the face. What does this mean exactly and how is this done? Are the muscles being moved or altered?
It’s not so much individual muscles themselves which are tightened but the complex layer of supporting fascia which invests itself on them. Tightening and lifting this layer provides the foundation for the skin to re-drape itself on. Without this step the skin’s inherent elasticity will cause it to re-stretch in a short period of time if only skin lifting is performed.
