I know that it is more difficult to create a dramatic result with people with thicker skin when performing rhinoplasty. How do you work with skin thickness to make sure that your patients have their desired results?
Good question. Patient’s with thicker skin present distinct challenges. Many are surprised to learn that rather than aggressively trying to thin the skin which can set you up for more scar and poor shape, it is necessary to add cartilage to create a strong tip shape which is able to be seen through the thick skin.
