I’m a senior in high school and planning on getting a nose job. I’m getting it at the start of my spring break, but that’s still only a week or so before I’ll be going back to school. I’m sure it’ll be noticeable to everyone that I’ve had a nose job and I’m really worried about that. Do you have any advice for dealing with this? What can I tell people?
This is an individual decision that you have to make depending on how comfortable you are with your peers. You can either acknowledge that you were unhappy about a certain feature and did something positive for yourself and had it taken care of or you can say you had some medical issue (injury, sinus, breathing) addressed and this was the result. You could also delay having the procedure until your longer summer break when people may not see the big change right away. Many seniors often do this in the summer between graduation and college when they will be meeting a new group of people who aren’t as familiar with them.
