I have a hump on my nose that I would like to have removed. Is this done by filing down the hump or by breaking the bones? Can it be performed through closed rhinoplasty?
Interesting insight. If the “hump” is actually caused by a deficiency around it as in “saddle nose” deformity then it is treated by filling in the deficiency. If it is excess bony prominence then it can be “shaved” or sculpted, never “broken”. Almost all maneuvers can be performed through closed as well as open rhinoplasty including hump removal.
