I am 18-years-old and want to have a nose job to fix my large nose. My parents are wary of letting me get the surgery because they think the nose can possibly run for almost a year after the surgery. Is this true? Is this a common occurrence among rhinoplasty patients?
There is no truth to that. What is true is that while the great majority of swelling will be gone in the first two months, the process of skin shrinkage and contracture will continue in a subtle fashion for twelve months.
