Is it true that the nose continues to grow into old age? How will this affect the results of a nose job?
The nose does not grow. The structures of the nose are dependent on muscles and ligaments and cartilage to cartilage attachment to maintain shape and support. Like all areas of the body as we age these supports tend to loosen causing a drooping effect which creates the illusion of growing. Bone changes in the upper gum can also effect the noses appearance over time. Rhinoplasty will reinforce and strengthen these attachments to allow for a long lasting result.
