Ive had a lot of nasal congestion for most of my life, which I was told was because I have a deviated septum. It never seemed to bother me enough to undergo surgery. However, more recently Ive been getting recurring sinus infections which Ive also been told is due to the deviated septum. These are much more bothersome and Im considering having it finally fixed. If I do get the deviated septum fixed, is it possible to have a nose job at the same time to make some changes to the appearance of my nose?
As a double boarded Facial Plastic surgeon and Otolaryngologist I always employ the “total nose” approach. If rhinoplasty is desired but there are internal problems such as deviated septum, sinus blockages etc. these can and should be addressed at the same time as the rhinoplasty.
