What would cause continued drooping of the upper eyelids even after eyelid surgery?
There are two common causes of this problem. One is eyebrow position. A low brow will make the lid appear droopy even with no excess skin. In this situation a brow lift is necessary to open the lid, further skin removal will only make the situation worse. The second is lid ptosis which is a condition caused by stretching and weakness of the lid muscles, not the skin. Correction of the lid muscle is required to help this.
